Thanks to a dedicated crew of “farmers”, we are growing hope – our harvest for 2012 yielded 75,000 lbs of cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes and green peppers! That’s 27,440 pounds more than last year.
Thanks to a grant from the City of Windsor of $12,499, we’ve been able to purchase our own cultivator. We have bought a small trailer (to move the filled boxes from the field to the outbuilding where they will be picked up) and an automated watering system.
The sole purpose of our garden is to serve our community by providing fresh produce to local food banks and kitchens.
